Refund & Cancellation

Cancellations

Fixed-price purchases can be cancelled within 2 hours of payment, provided the item has not yet been packaged for despatch. After packaging, cancellations are treated as returns.

Auction wins are binding under Section 64 of the Sale of Goods Act, 1930, and cannot be cancelled. Buyer-side regret is not a ground for cancellation.

Returns & Refunds

You may return an object within 7 days of delivery if:

  • Authenticity, era, or provenance was misrepresented in the listing.
  • Condition differs materially from the photographs or description (e.g. undisclosed damage).
  • Wrong object delivered.

Returns are insured and shipped at our cost in such cases. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 working days of the object reaching our Delhi atelier in the same condition it was shipped.

Buyer’s Remorse

For returns initiated without misrepresentation (e.g. preference change), a 5% restocking fee applies, and return shipping is paid by the buyer.

Non-Returnable

  • Objects that have been used, altered, restored, or damaged after delivery.
  • Bespoke commissions or pieces customised at the buyer’s request.
  • Antiquities exported under license, once the export has cleared customs.
  • Auction wins (binding under sale of goods law).

How To Initiate

Email kahgez@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with your order ID, photographs, and a brief description. Our curator will respond within 2 working days with a return label or a resolution.

Refund Method & Timeline

Refunds are processed via Razorpay to the original instrument. Net-banking and UPI refunds typically settle in 3–5 working days. Card refunds in 7–10 working days. International refunds may take up to 14 working days due to inter-bank processing.

Disputes

If we cannot resolve a refund matter within 14 working days, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer (see Privacy Policy).
